Lower Mekong Initiative - Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment Dialog

The Lower Mekong Initiative (LMI) will host a Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Dialogue to discuss gender issues and will focus this year on women’s economic empowerment, gender-based violence, women’s role in mitigating climate change, girls’ education, and cross-sector leadership.  The event will take place March 16-17 in New York, on the sidelines of the Commission on the Status of Women.  An experts’ dialogue will take place on March 16, and a ministerial dialogue on March 17.
