Indo-Pacific Business Forum in Bangkok

The Indo-Pacific Business Forum in Bangkok, Thailand will take place on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit (EAS) on November 4, 2019. It will bring together key U.S. Cabinet Secretaries and senior leaders from U.S. government and business to discuss how government tools and policies can facilitate private sector partnerships to unleash the full potential of the Indo-Pacific region. A follow-up to the Indo-Pacific Business Forum held at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on July 30, 2018, the this forum will also bring together government and business leaders from Indo-Pacific countries. Additionally, the forum will include the announcement of several initiatives in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and the digital economy.

This unique event will focus on the opportunities for increasing trade and investment between the United States and economies across the Indo-Pacific region, with an emphasis on the most pertinent challenges to growth in the digital economy, energy, and infrastructure development.

Topics will include:

• Financing Growth in the Indo-Pacific
• Digital Commercialization and Security
• Infrastructure Development in the Indo-Pacific
• Developing Energy Sources in the Indo-Pacific

We expect either the President or the Vice President to lead the U.S. delegation, and as the forum will take place in the same venue as EAS, we also expect a number of heads of government and cabinet officials to participate, along with senior executives from across the region.  

The Forum will provide an excellent platform to showcase your company’s activities in the region, and we want to highlight possible announcements and deal signings at the event. Please share input on any potential announcements or deal signings that your company may be pursuing over the next several months, in any of the Indo-Pacific nations. This may include inbound investments, exports, major purchase contracts or other activities. Any sensitive information will be kept strictly confidential in the interim. The November 4 Forum will provide an excellent platform to showcase and publicize any such deals.
