The US-ASEAN Business Council is registering senior-level executives for the 2021 Virtual Business Mission to the 53rd ASEAN Economic Ministers' (AEM) Meeting. The mission will take place virtually from Monday, September 13, to Friday, September 24, and will consist of a plenary session with AEM and U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) officials, as well as bilateral meetings with priority ASEAN Economic Ministers, U.S. Government officials from the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), the U.S. Mission to ASEAN, Secretary-General of ASEAN and ASEAN Business Advisory Council.
MISSION THEMES
This is the 22nd consecutive mission and engagement with the ASEAN Economic Ministers. The mission themes will focus on the post-pandemic comprehensive recovery in the ASEAN region, including through advancing the digital economy ecosystem, strengthening healthcare and rebuilding travel & tourism sector. The mission constitutes a key part of our yearly engagement with ASEAN in showing commitment from the Council to help achieve the realization of ASEAN Single Market and driving economic integration amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This meeting will be a prime opportunity for members to share their concerns and offer a collaborative solution for the AEM.

Proposed themes and discussion topics will also be discussed during the pre-mission planning calls.
