SUMMARY:2021 Virtual Business Mission to the 53rd ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The US-ASEAN Business Council is registering senior-level executives for the 2021 Virtual Business Mission to the 53rd ASEAN Economic Ministers' (AEM) Meeting. The mission will take place virtually from Monday\, September 13\, to Friday\, September 24\, and will consist of a plenary session with AEM and U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) officials\, as well as bilateral meetings with priority ASEAN Economic Ministers\, U.S. Government officials from the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR)\, the U.S. Mission to ASEAN\, Secretary-General of ASEAN and ASEAN Business Advisory Council.\n\n \n\nMISSION THEMES\n\nThis is the 22nd consecutive mission and engagement with the ASEAN Economic Ministers. The mission themes will focus on the post-pandemic comprehensive recovery in the ASEAN region\, including through advancing the digital economy ecosystem\, strengthening healthcare and rebuilding travel & tourism sector. The mission constitutes a key part of our yearly engagement with ASEAN in showing commitment from the Council to help achieve the realization of ASEAN Single Market and driving economic integration amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This meeting will be a prime opportunity for members to share their concerns and offer a collaborative solution for the AEM.\n\n \n\nMission participants can propose other mission themes or discussion topics. To do so\, please contact Hai Pham (hpham@usasean.org)\, Marcella Suwandhi (msuwandhi@usasean.org) and Nugraheni Utami (utami@usasean.org). The talking points should be submitted by September 6 (Singapore Time).\n\n \n\nHIGHLIGHTING CORPORATE IMPACT AND INITIATIVES\n\nWe publish annual CSR reports to highlight US-ABC members? initiatives that support ASEAN?s post-COVID-19 recovery. All materials must be submitted using the template on the Business Mission Manager by September 6. We also welcome submissions from members who do not join the mission. \n\n \n\nMISSION FEE\n\nUS$2\,250 for early bird registrations received BY September 6 (up to two representatives)\n\nUS$2\,750 for registrations received AFTER September 6 (up to two representatives)\n\nUS$ 300 fee for each additional representative beyond the first two.\n\n \n\nThis is special pricing for these specific engagements given COVID-19 developments. Payment can be made by check\, wire transfer or credit card. An invoice will be issued upon registration.
