Having sufficient financing that is spent efficiently is central to successful cancer strategies. The intersection of economics, finance and public policy is where The Economist Events believes it can add real value in the cancer discussion in Asia. Therefore, we will once again be hosting our War on Cancer conference in Singapore next March.
The summit will explore how best to build affordable cancer care in low- and middle-income countries in Asia and ask which cancer interventions make best sense, and how best they can be financed.
Members of US-ASEAN can enjoy USD 760 off the standard ticket rate with the discount code USASEAN3332 to attend the event. We encourage you to reserve your place today.
The morning's discussions will kick off with a focus on the priorities in delivering and funding cancer care. Paulyn Ubial, secretary of health for the Philippines will explain a health minister's approach to health care and cancer funding, and the factors that influence their decision-making when allocating appropriate financing for cancer control in their countries.
Other speakers contributing to the debates include representatives from the National Cancer Council of Malaysia, the Institute of Cancer Policy, the Union for International Cancer Control and Lien Centre for Palliative Care. View the full agenda here.
