The PowerTrends 2016 conference and exhibition event will take place on September 21-23 at the SMX Convention Center in Metro Manila. First organized in 1995 and hosted by the Department of Energy, PowerTrends is the most significant energy event in the Philippines, with top government officials, members of the diplomatic community, and international guests from the industry in attendance.
The US-ASEAN Business Council is helping the organizers of PowerTrends 2016 identify speakers for three workshops that will be held during the event. The topics of the three workshops are:
- Streamlining the permitting process for energy projects
- Addressing connectivity and power distribution issues
- Human capital development in the energy sector.
If you or your organization would be interested in presenting at these workshops, please contact Riley Smith at rsmith@usasean.org for further details.
In addition to these three workshops, PowerTrends 2016 will incorporate two other major events in the energy sector--Energy Expo and Electech. Energy Expo will feature new, renewable, and alternative sources of energy alongside energy efficiency technologies, in addition coal, nuclear, oil, and gas. Electech will present the latest technologies for power, energy electrical, electronics, and lighting for commerce, infrastructure, and homes. Parallel Technical Sessions, Workshops and Product Demos by sponsors and exhibitors will also be held. Topics will include new technologies and the latest products and services for the power, energy and electrical industries. A tentative agenda for PowerTrends 2016 can be found
