Meeting of the Singapore Joint Cyber Security Working Group
In order to increase cooperation on cybersecurity, the U.S. Embassy Singapore proposed a Joint Cyber Security Working Group (JCSWG) to Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency and the U.S. private sector. The goal of the JCSWG is to improve ASEAN cybersecurity practices and develop the cybersecurity ecosystem.
In particular, the JCSWG aims to develop consistent and productive cyber policy, coordinate capacity building initiatives, and identify regional public and private priorities among governments and the private sector. The JCSWG will meet regularly to discuss both regional and domestic issues ranging from regulatory proposals, capacity building programs, promotion of cyber norms, and other approaches such as best practice exchanges for improving cybersecurity in ASEAN.
