Lunch with the Minister of Trade of Indonesia, H.E. Thomas Lembong

Minister Lembong was appointed to the Ministry of Trade by President Joko Widodo during the August 2015 cabinet reshuffle as part of the President's efforts to improve Indonesia's economic performance. He is visiting Washington, D.C. as a member of the delegation accompanying President Widodo on his historic trip to the United States.
  
Before his appointment, he was the co-founder and Managing Partner of Quvat Capital. He previously worked with Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and Farindo Investments (an Indonesia-focused joint venture of Farallon Capital). He served for two years as a Division Head and Senior Vice-President of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency. In 2008, he was honored as one of the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders. Minister Lembong earned his BA at Harvard University in 1994.
