Gala Dinner in honor of General Secretary Trong of Vietnam

As Vietnam and the United States celebrate 20 years of diplomatic relations and a strengthening of bilateral cooperation this year, General Secretary Trong will make a historic and symbolic visit to the United States. This is the first official visit from the Party’s General Secretary.  Over the course of the visit, the General Secretary and delegation will meet with leaders and counterparts in the Administration to discuss  US – Vietnam bilateral relations with a special emphasis on future cooperation and engagement. 
 
The dinner’s guests will be drawn from the leaders of the Washington D.C. foreign policy, business, think tank and media communities, and will also include a number of cabinet ministers who will be accompanying the General Secretary.
