Farewell Luncheon for H.E. Mai Sayavongs, Ambassador of Lao PDR to the United States

Ambassador Mai Sayavongs is leaving his post as the Lao Ambassador to the United States, a position he has held since August 2015. Over the past three years, Ambassador Mai and the Embassy of Lao PDR have shown great dedication and commitment to deepening all aspects of U.S.-Lao relations. Since his arrival, the Council and Ambassador Mai have worked cooperatively to further develop the U.S.-Lao business relationship, a goal that the Council and its members share. The Council considers Ambassador Mai a dear friend and advocate who has focused on opening new doors to trade and investment in Laos.

We have greatly enjoyed working with Ambassador Mai and are honored to bid farewell to Ambassador Mai as he leaves Washington, DC, to return to Laos.
