2020 Food & Agriculture Committee Quarterly Call (Q2-2020)

The Council is pleased to invite members to join the second quarterly Food & Agriculture Committee Call of 2020. The call will review the Committee's recent work, discuss member priority issues, and steps that we can take to adapt to the uncertain climate due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The proposed meeting agenda is as follows:

1. Welcome Remarks by Amb. Michael Michalak, Senior Vice President & Regional Managing Director, USABC
2. Opening Remarks by Pushpanathan Sundram, Senior Advisor Public Policy and Government Affairs of Elanco Animal Health, Chair of the Food & Agriculture Committee
3. 2020 Priorities and Programs
   1. Addressing the COVID-19 and the Food (in)Security caused by the pandemic:
      • What are the new regulations/ measures in place for each country? How are the governments defining and treating “essential/critical” food & agriculture supply chains? What are the impacts of these new regulations on the food supply?
      • What are key challenges faced by companies?
      • What are companies doing to support the situation?
      • What can the FA Committee be doing?
      • Post-COVID-19 engagement?
   2. Follow up for the Food & Agriculture Mission to Indonesia
   3. Food & Agriculture Mission to Vietnam & the Philippines (2^nd Half of 2020)
