DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a welcome reception for the Honorable Sung Kim\, the new U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines.  Ambassador Kim was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on September 28\, 2016\, and officially took up his post in Manila on December 6\, 2016.  His biography can be found here.\n\n \n\nThe welcome reception will provide an excellent opportunity to meet with Ambassador Kim and mingle with members of the U.S. business community in Manila in an intimate setting.  With a new administration taking office in Washington\, DC\, on January 20\, Ambassador Kim's role as the main U.S. envoy in the Philippines will be that much more important over the next several years as the incoming administration seeks to improve ties with President Duterte's government.  The welcome reception will provide an opportunity to mingle with Ambassador Kim at this important early stage in his role as Ambassador to the Philippines. \n\n              \n\nSponsorship opportunities are available.
