SUMMARY:Tourism - SME Workshop: Improving Thailand Tourism SMEs Competitiveness in Digital Economy Era
DESCRIPTION:The Council is pleased to highlight a sponsorship opportunity in a one-day Travel and Tourism-SME workshop in Bangkok\, Thailand. The workshop serves as an implementation activity following the Twenty-First Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers (21st M-ATM) in Chiang Mai\, last January\, and will be conducted in close collaboration with the OSMEP (Office of SMEs Promotion of Thailand) and Thammasat University. The workshop aims to promote greater economic inclusivity and utilization of digital tools to Thailand government and SMEs of travel and tourism industry. The workshop will be an excellent opportunity for Members to showcase its support to the government's agenda in integrating the travel and tourism industry into the digital economy era.\n\n\n\nThe workshop will comprise of two activities: (1) Training of Trainers (TOT) for officials from government and travel and tourism agencies\, and (2) Training for SMEs. These activities will create a sustainable multiplier effect from regulators to the industry players. Around 30 officials and 100   120 SME owners or executives are expected to join the workshop.
