DESCRIPTION:The Meridian International Center and the US-ASEAN Business Council are pleased to invite you to a roundtable discussion on Developing Infrastructure for Economic Growth in the Philippines with a delegation from the:\n\n\n Philippine Department of Transportation (DOTr)\,\n Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA)\,\n Public-Private Partnership Center of the Philippines (PPP Center).\n\n\nThe delegation is interested in hearing from U.S. companies on best practices for the procurement and implementation of large scale infrastructure projects. The delegation would also like to discuss:\n\n\n Business models for the implementation of utilities\,\n Management development\,\n Open space development (e.g. parks and greenways)\,\n ICT implementation in developing countries. \n\n\nThe delegation includes the following representatives:\n\n\n Atty. Mark Steven Pastor\, Assistant Secretary for Legal Affairs\, DOTr\;\n Atty. Mia Mary Sebastian\, Deputy Executive Director\, PPP Center\;\n Ms. Frances Yani Domingo\, Director for Legal Services\, PPP Center\;\n Ms. Gerber Eresmas\, Project Management Officer\, BCDA.\n\n\nMore information on the delegation\, including their official bios\, can be found here. Though the roundtable is currently scheduled for one hour\, there will be the option to continue the discussion beyond the 11:00 AM stop time. The delegation has been invited to the United States under the auspices of the Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program.
