SUMMARY:Japan-U.S. Strategic Energy Partnership Meeting
DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the U.S. Department of Commerce\, the US-ASEAN Business Council invites you to attend a roundtable with government and private sector officials from the United States and Japan to discuss energy financing in support of the Japan-U.S. Strategic Energy Partnership (JUSEP). The roundtable will take place on Tuesday\, October 29\, from 2:00   4:00 PM at JETRO Singapore. \n\n\n\nThe roundtable builds on a commitment to deepen JUSEP's engagement with the private sector\, as was previously exemplified by industry participation at the March 2019 JUSEP meeting in Washington\, D.C. and the August 2019 JUSEP meeting in Bangkok\, Thailand.\n\n\n\nThis JUSEP roundtable will focus on enhancing public-private discussions on three key topics: \n\n	Multilateral development bank financing of energy projects in the Indo-Pacific\;\n	Blended financing solutions\; and \n	Ease of doing business in the region.  \n\nAll participants are encouraged to share their thoughts and comments throughout the roundtable. The roundtable has three broad objectives:\n\n\n	Seek information on U.S. and Japanese firm financing and ease of doing business challenges in the region\;\n	Facilitate business-to-business and business-to-government connections\, including expanding the discussion to include private sector financial industry and energy providers\; and\n	Inform future JUSEP programming.\n\nWe hope you will join us for this important discussion.\n\n\n\nIf you have any questions about the roundtable\, please contact Sarah Lessing at slessing@usasean.org.
