DESCRIPTION:The Center for a New American Security (CNAS)\, in cooperation with the US-ASEAN Business Council\, is honored to invite you to a special\, on-the-record speech featuring one of the most influential figures in the Indonesian economy\, Pak Rosan Roeslani\, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN).  The Honorable Dr. Kurt M. Campbell\, CNAS Chairman of the Board and former Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and Pacific Affairs\, will introduce Pak Rosan and preside over the event.\n\n \n\nAs the world's eighth largest economy in terms of purchasing power parity\, Indonesia stands on the cusp of remarkable economic development.  It is presently growing at between 5 and 6 percent and projected to become the world's fourth largest economy by mid-century.  Indonesian President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo was elected in 2014 largely on a platform of economic development\, and his recent Cabinet reshuffle provides a further stimulus for progress and reform. \n\n \n\nPak Rosan\, one of the major figures in the Indonesian energy industry and now the voice of Indonesian business\, will describe Indonesia's potential\, its vision for economic development\, and the opportunities for Indonesia-U.S. relations.
