Ambassador Cuong and the Vietnam Embassy team have shown a tremendous  commitment to improving U.S.-Vietnam bilateral relationship. Since his arrival\, the United States and Vietnam have launched a bilateral comprehensive partnership\, showed continued progress in TPP negotiations\, signed an agreement on civil nuclear cooperation and increased military to military ties.  The Council and its member companies consider Ambassador Cuong a dear friend and a strong supporter who has extended his time and energy to opening new doors to trade and investment in Vietnam.  We have greatly enjoyed working with Ambassador Cuong and are honored to bid farewell to one of the most seasoned Vietnamese diplomats who has ever served in Washington D.C.
