SUMMARY:Consultation with the ASEAN Working Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems
DESCRIPTION:The Council invites financial services members for our second consultation with the ASEAN Working Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems (WC-PSS)\, the ASEAN workstream tasked with modernizing and integrating the region's payment and settlement networks. The Council held an introductory meeting with the WC-PSS during their February 2018 meeting and we plan to continue building the engagement into 2019. This session will focus on proposing items for the WC-PSS's FinTech development agenda and specifically their new proposal for retail payments interoperability. \n\n \n\nThe Council's delegation will hold the formal consultation with the WC-PSS at 11:20-11:40 AM on September 13 and will pursue other bilateral meetings on the sidelines based on member interest.
