DESCRIPTION:The Council is pleased to host a Welcome Luncheon in honor of H.E. Dato' Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz\, Ambassador-Designate of Malaysia to the United States.\n\n \n\nAs Ambassador Nazri starts his term\, please join us in celebrating a friend of the U.S. business community. One of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's earliest appointments after the October general elections\, Ambassador Nazri filled a long-vacant position and took up his appointment as Malaysia Ambassador to the United States in March 2023. He has made it his priority to promote U.S.-Malaysia trade\, investment\, and tourism and lead Malaysia's return to rule-making in the international community. He has dedicated his career to serving the people of Malaysia.  Nazri served under three Prime Ministers from 1995 until 2018\, being one of the most senior ministers of 23 years\, starting with his Senatorship in 1995 as Deputy Minister of Finance\, and subsequently as Deputy in Prime Ministers Department. He became the Minister of Entrepreneur Development from 1999 to 2004. After his nine years of Legal portfolios\, in 2013 he was tasked to promote Tourism and Culture\; elevating Malaysia's image to another notch of accolades and achievements. Ambassador Nazri's biography is attached. \n\n \n\nWe hope you will join us on this special occasion\, along with U.S. government officials and other VIPs\, as we honor Ambassador Nazri and welcome him to Washington.
