The Academy is an online training platform built to provide free\, centralized access to global and regional/country-specific training resources and support ASEAN SMEs by strengthening their business as well as their digital skills. The Council will significantly increase the number of SMEs that we are able to reach by upgrading and expanding the offerings and accessibility of the platform along with the accompanying activities. This new website will be relaunched in Q1 2022\, and we are happy to invite you to participate in this initiative. \n\n\n\nIn 2022\, the Council aims to create a centralized and top learning resource for ASEAN SMEs through the Academy portal\, with a focus on five main activities: \n\n\n Relaunching the ASEAN SME Academy 2.0 \n\n Aimed to be a world-class\, user-friendly\, and attractive platform with the inclusion of several ASEAN language options along with course offerings that cover various topics of interest to SMEs and enable feedback loops\, which allow us to continually improve the effectiveness of the program. Key features will include: a) Multilanguage support (adding three new ASEAN languages to the site: Bahasa Indonesia\, Thai and Vietnamese)\, b) New visual design and mobile-friendly\, c) Top online resources for SMEs\, d) Certifications. This ASEAN SME Academy 2.0 will be relaunched in Q1 2022. \n SME Webinar Series: Rebuilding the ASEAN Economy \n\n Continuation of the flagship capacity-building programs that allow SMEs and government officials to observe and participate in the Council members' ongoing SME training initiatives. We plan to execute up to seven webinars in 2022. \n US-ASEAN SME Community \n\n A forum for ASEAN SMEs to build social and business networks as well as exchange information of all kinds. We will provide an online mentoring program with volunteers from the Council members as experts to ASEAN SMEs. Member sponsors will have a dedicated 'digital lounge' based on their specific field of interest to provide a one-on-one session with ASEAN SMEs. \n US-ASEAN SME Podcast\n\n A periodic podcast for ASEAN SMEs that will cover various topics on entrepreneurial strategy\, the latest technology\, updates on the latest regional and/or country policy for small business and business insights. \n Newsletter and Promotion \n\n A bi-monthly soft-copy newsletter highlighting recent ASEAN SME Academy program activities and companies' contributions will be established. Content will also include promotion of course listings\, company profiles\, upcoming events\, and success stories via the Council and ASEAN SME Academy website and social media. \n\n\n\n \nAs a joint initiative between the Council and ASEAN Coordinating Committee for Micro\, Small and Medium Enterprises (ACCMSME)\, the Academy's position has become more important than ever as the number of registered users has grown during the pandemic to more than 460\,000 visitors and more than 9\,500 registered users as of December 31\, 2021. Moreover\, as we shifted our in-country workshop online and integrated the SME Webinar Series during the COVID-19 pandemic\, we have empowered more than 10\,000 small business owners and executives through eleven webinars and one hybrid program in the Philippines\, Thailand\, Indonesia\, Singapore\, Vietnam\, Myanmar\, and Malaysia since 2020.\n\n\n\nThe Council is inviting you to be the sponsors and take advantage of this exciting platform.
