SUMMARY:2020 Virtual Singapore Business Mission
DESCRIPTION:The US-ASEAN Business Council is registering senior-level executives for the Virtual Business Mission to Singapore on November 16-20\, 2020. This virtual mission will offer members the opportunity to engage key Singapore Government officials after the General Elections and Cabinet reshuffle in July. The virtual mission will be a series of interactive Zoom sessions timed for participants based in Southeast Asia and the United States to be able to join. \n\n\n\nThe Council proposes the following overarching themes to frame company specific messages and/or policy advocacy reform priorities during the mission while engaging the Government of Singapore including political office-holders\, recently elected or appointed after the General Elections and Cabinet reshuffle: \n\n \n\n Supporting Singapore's COVID-19 response and recovery\n\n\n\n Improving health outcomes\n Accelerating digital transformation\n Safely reopening the economy with unhampered movement of goods and managed movement of people and workers\n\n\n\n Advancing the Digital Economy in Singapore and ASEAN\n\n\n\n Encouraging Digital Payments and supporting SMEs\n Building Smart cities\n Promoting Smart commerce and supply chain digitalization\n Ensuring cybersecurity\, safe and secure data\n\n\n\n Keeping Trade free and open during and post-COVID-19\n\n\n\n Ensuring ambitious outcomes in FTAs like RCEP\n Encouraging Digital Economy Partnerships and arrangements \n Bringing back confidence to international and domestic travel and tourism\n\n\n\n Leveraging Singapore innovation in achieving a sustainable and resilient Future Economy\n\n\n\n Promoting Environmental Sustainability and Energy\n Investing in Research and Development\, Skills\, Workforce Development\, Productivity\n\n \n\nProposed Meetings\n\n\n DPM HENG Swee Keat\, Ministry of Finance or Minister Lawrence Wong\, Ministry for Education and Second Minister for Finance \n Minister CHAN Chun Sing\, Ministry for Trade and Industry with representatives from the Energy Market Authority (EMA)\, Agency for Science\, Technology and Research (A*STAR)\, and Infrastructure Asia (set up under Enterprise Singapore and MAS) \n Minister S.
